Hello, my precious Butt People.

I’m so sorry that I’ve been missing from this space. To be candid with you, I’ve been very depressed since I got home from my book tour (a few weeks? months? ago), and fortunately/unfortunately my particular style of depression doesn’t feel like sadness, it feels like being suspended in a block of cloudy gelatin. When I am depressed, I am just not able to do anything. I am not even strong enough to pierce gelatin!

The Adult Braces book launch was really hard. It was also really wonderful and affirming, and I’m indebted to everyone who said kind things about the book, related to the book, and uplifted the book. I will write more about the whole thing soon.

But for now, here’s an unboxing video from when I finally got my hands on the cute Adult Braces VIP merch items we made! It’s been hard to imagine offering up new writing to the world right now, even if I could bring myself to generate said writing, which I can’t. But I do miss you, and I get a lot of my life force from being read, so it won’t be much longer. I’ve got a lot of stuff in the brainpipe, including TWO novels, a zine project???, all the videos from my book tour, a secret thing that I don’t know if I can pull off, and another MORE secret secret thing that I know I can pull off if they let me do it! And, of course, more regular Butt Newses and Butt News Movie Club Movie Buttcasts and Fat Suit Fart Attacks and Kevyn Aucoin makeup tutorials.
