As usual, pre-order Adult Braces, stay tuned for book tour announcements, etc. A whole bunch of exciting stuff is about to start happening bing-bang-bong.
Also, if you live in the Seattle area, I’ll be at this excellent show Thursday night, Jan 29! (Not performing, just vibing.) My friend Dwayne Kennedy, a genius, is doing the best stand-up comedy you’ve ever seen in your life, and Ahamefule is playing the most beautiful music you’ve ever heard in your life, and my brother-in-law Gabriel Teodros is doing the most iconic hosting you’ve ever experienced in your life, and if that’s not a dream team then I’m not a certified diva!!!!!!!!

I was so honored to produce Dwayne’s comedy album “Who The Hell Is Dwayne Kennedy?” And release it on my label Oak Head Records, and I say, if you are on the fence about going to this show, put on that album and give it about 10 minutes and then see how you feel. It’s one of the things I am most proud to be involved in throughout the entire span of my career.
This will be such a special show. Art has been my light through the darkest times of my life, and I only care about trying bring light to others in any way I can, as an artist or a facilitator for other artists who I truly believe in. These are dark ass times, and it can feel trivial and even callous to try to promote things, but I also know that nothing can be as healing as being in community with other people who care about and respect their fellow humans, and sharing joy with those people is very powerful, more powerful than any badge and signing bonus.
